‘프로듀스 101’과 JBJ로 활발한 활동을 보여준 권현빈이 1년 만에 솔로 아티스트 ‘VIINI (권현빈)’으로 대중 앞에 섰다.

VIINI (권현빈)의 첫 번째 미니앨범이자 솔로 데뷔앨범 ‘DIMENSION (디멘션)’은 그가 가진 음악적 메시지와 인간 권현빈, 아티스트 권현빈 등 여러 가지 모습을 그려낸 앨범으로, 차원을 뜻하는 ‘DIMENSION’을 통해 차원이 다른 새로운 매력을 보여주겠다는 포부를 담았다.

이번 앨범은 블랙핑크의 ‘휘파람’, ‘마지막처럼’, ‘FOREVER YOUNG’ 등 수많은 히트곡을 프로듀싱한 FUTURE BOUNCE를 포함, iHwak, BIGTONE 등 실력파 프로듀서들이 함께 참여해 음악적 완성도를 높였다. VIINI (권현빈) 또한 직접 작사/작곡을 하여, 자신의 음악적 포텐셜을 입증했다.

‘DIMENSION’은 보통의 사람들이 연인이 되었다가 헤어지는 과정을 순서대로 담아, 하나의 이야기를 듣는 듯한 느낌을 선사해 공감하며 들을 수 있도록 구성됐다.

연애하기 전, 사랑에 빠진 남자의 모습을 그린 ‘짠해’, 연애를 하면서 연인에게 끊임없이 어필
하는 ‘도깨비방망이’, 이별의 이야기를 담은 ‘나쁜 말’, 이별 후 헤어진 연인을 향한 그리움을 담은 ‘애틋해’까지 총 네 개의 트랙이 수록됐다. 특히 4번 트랙 ‘애틋해’는 오랜 공백기를 기다려준 팬들에게 보내는 팬송이라는 점에서 더욱 의미가 남다르다.

이번 앨범을 통해 솔로 아티스트로 힘찬 첫 발을 내딛는 VIINI (권현빈)의 새로운 행보가 기대된다.
